What if you could confidently walk into every wedding feeling prepared for any lighting situation . . .and afterward, as you pack up your gear, you felt a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment, that you just created beautiful images from start to finish?

How do you feel when it comes to all the different lighting situations you'll encounter on a wedding day?

For Conlee, when it came to artificial light - she thought it meant double the luggage and would make her images too "commercial feeling", so she mainly used her on-camera flash.

"After seeing Kenzie talk about what gear she uses, how she uses it, and showing the images alongside the equipment, it made me realize that you can achieve that desired natural feel and aesthetic with artificial light. If you're not sure how to get a consistent look for your low light situations...start here." - Conlee Arpin

I need this!

Are these thoughts keeping you up the night before a wedding?

. . .How will the light be at the venue?

. . .Do I have the right gear to handle the low light situations?

. . .Will the settings be correct?

. . .Will I be able to create high-quality images the entire day?

. . .How can I create something powerful like I see on Instagram?

I've been there . . . this is why I'm so passionate about light.

Are you ready to create albums like these for your clients?

I teach you everything I do when it comes to approaching light on a wedding day.  From the morning light to ending the evening with sparklers, we cover it all.

I'm ready to make 2023 the best yet!

WHO I AM

I was tired of not fully loving this job for what it was. My photography business was taking off, I was over-booking and would stay up the night before, worrying about if I had the right gear or if I was prepared enough for whatever lighting situation I would encounter the next day.  I've always wanted to create THE BEST for my clients - but sometimes the pressure I would put on myself felt too much at times.  On Instagram, I was posting all the beautiful, emotional, inspiring photos, but there would be parts of my wedding galleries that weren't portraying that. This killed me.

So, I sat down and I started thinking about where to start. I would ask myself, how will I be able to eliminate the barriers and what do I need to master in order to get my business to where I want it to be. You know, there are a lot of variables when it comes to photography, but I feel the most important is light. Without it, there's no image. There's nothing to capture. When I started thinking of it that way, I knew that light would be what would take my images to the next level.

"Makenzie doesn't hold back and truly gives you her best-kept lighting secrets. As a somewhat experienced, but still new, wedding photographer this course was exactly what I needed to make me feel confident walking into the 2022 wedding season. I have so many different lighting situations coming up that even a year out I was starting to stress and worry. There are a million and one wedding photography courses out there, but I promise you this one is worth every single penny. The videos are packed with technical details, however, Makenzie doesn't hold back on sharing how she gets some of her beautiful artistic and emotion-filled images. She breaks down the entire wedding day and prepares you for every good and bad lighting situation you could possibly be in. ."

CONLEE ARPIN

Wedding Photographer

"I've always been impressed by Kenzie so I knew that anything she put out would be intentional and that she'd put her heart and soul into it. I knew she'd cut out the noise and get straight to the point. This is something I look for in education. I need simple and practical. As a decently seasoned photographer who has photographed in many different scenarios, I am confident that I can deliver consistent work through most lighting situations. What held me back and what I greatly gleaned from this course was new information and tips/tricks when it comes to artificial lighting. I've never invested in anything other than my on-camera flashes because I was worried it would make my work look too...commercial feeling? After seeing Kenzie talk about what gear she uses, how she uses it and showing the images alongside that equipment, it made me realize that you can achieve that desired natural feel and aesthetic with artificial light. I'm really looking forward to using what I've learned from Kenzie in the future. If you're not sure how to get a consistent look for your low-light situations...start here."

THE BRIGHTNESS PROJECT

Wedding Photography + Video

"I have been a wedding photographer for over 6 years and I felt like I knew a lot about lighting. A lot of our couples say they book us because of our compelling use of light. So when I say that Makenzie’s course has revolutionized the way I view lighting on a wedding day, that carries a lot of weight for me. Her straightforward, down-to-earth approach makes you feel like you’re sitting and talking with a brilliant best friend. Her techniques are so practical and easy to understand, and yet beautifully mind-blowing at the same time. This is information every photographer needs to have in their back pocket. It will transform your confidence and help you to fall in love with your job all over again."
